Respite

As someone who supports a person with disability, respite is a vital part of your own health and well being. Respite is about having a break from your responsibilities as a carer, to have time to yourself or to do those things you never seem to have time to do.

Respite can be for a week, weekend, overnight, for a few hours during the day, or in the event of an emergency if you need to find alternative support.
Qualified staff is available to provide support in Bega, in your own home or in a unit at Tulgeen’s Maple Court facility.

Flexible day options are also available where clients participate in skill development, sport and recreational activities; or for people with high to exceptional needs personalized to support and activities.

Respite is available on a privately funded basis or through your local Ageing, Disability and Home Care (ADHC) community support worker.
Should you require any information on Tulgeen’s respite service please contact our Client Services Manager on (02) 6499 0821
