Continuous Improvement (CI) and Risk Management (RM) is Tulgeen’s foundation for achieving best practice. Managers, staff, clients and employees continually contribute to the improvement of service delivery, internal systems, and partnerships.
Tulgeen’s Australian Disability Enterprises (ADE’s) continue to achieve Quality Assurance Accreditation meeting the Federal and Government’s Disability Service Standards (DSS) Key Performance Indicators. The Client Services department is also assessed and accredited based on its policy and procedures.
The primary focus of continuous improvement, quality assurance and risk management processes is consultation. As well as encouraging day-to-day input into service delivery, formal consultation is achieved through regular Service Management Meetings, advisory group meetings, a yearly Service Delivery Review (SDR), an Annual Service Review (ASR) reporting to the Executive Officer and Board of Directors, Strategic Planning; and feedback from clients and employees during Workskills for Life Training.
The purpose of consultation is to constantly improve service delivery and continually improve organisational systems and processes. To achieve this purpose there is ongoing training of staff in quality systems delivery in accordance to the Disability Service Standards and relevant funding agreements.
The CI Facilitator oversees all QA processes by developing, implementing, monitoring, and reviewing organisational policy and procedures. The position facilitates continuous improvement initiatives and is leading the move towards creating an integrated continuous improvement system. The position is responsible for facilitating the development and implementation of all quality systems used by Tulgeen, depicted graphically by Tulgeen’s Concept Map.
